1)  Could you tell us a little about yourself and what’s your business about?

We’re a small, eco-conscious family business headed by brother and sister, Nicholas and Natasha. Beginning way back in 1996 as a small bricks and mortar store in the Yarra Ranges, Victoria started by our mother, our focus has always been to offer superior products to support a healthy lifestyle.

More recently, with the shift towards being ever more eco-friendly, it’s become more important than ever to have a zero waste kitchen, which means equipping yourself with kitchen appliances that will stand the test of time and continue to perform year after year.

2) Do you have a morning routine? If so, what is it you do to set yourself up for the day ahead?

Proudly operating from a location registered with the Wildlife Land Trust and Land for Wildlife, our days start with birdsong and a healthy breakfast.

Each day’s tasks are generally planned in advance, but between juggling phone calls, emails, and despatching orders, it can get quite busy!

3)  What makes your products sustainable and eco-friendly?

Having both seen and experienced the waste generated by products designed to break and therefore be replaced after the first year, the brands we distribute are carefully chosen to fit the bill of being as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.

By making your own food at home, with a reliable, quality appliance, one can also reduce the inevitable packaging waste that accompanies store-bought food by using only fresh grown produce.

4)  What was the hardest part of starting your own business?

As with so many small business owners, it can be difficult to find enough time to get everything done each day. Differentiating our brands from the run-of-the-mill and getting them known more widely continues to be a challenge, but the hard work pays off!

5)  One book and/or documentary everyone should read/watch? Why?

Our Planet. Narrated by the great Sir David Attenborough, it’s a documentary series that delivers a message of the importance of addressing conservation and an urgent call to action.
