Salty Lips Sunglasses is proud to offer High Quality, Natural Bamboo and Wooden Sunglasses. Additionally. all of our sunglasses come with 100% UV400 Rated and Polarized Lens. Furthermore, they are all “CE” certified and tested to Australian Standard AS/NZS 1067 Lens Category 3. We are proud to be able to carry many different styles and lens colors to fit any individuals personality.

Our bamboo is sourced from massive plantations in China which account for roughly 5% of China’s forested areas. Additionally, these areas exist to combat climate change, to restore degraded land and also provide the foundation for sustainable bamboo harvesting. Preparation of the raw bamboo consists of trimming the chutes into manageable pieces called culms. Secondly, these sections are cut into strips that are machined into specific frame and arm shapes.

At this point, the components are hand sanded until achieving a smooth and flawless feel. Following that, we assemble the frames and the arms by hand, together with stainless steel spring hinges. It is now time to insert the polarized UV400 rated lenses together with a final polish and clean. These processes produce the hand crafted, elegant, and high quality products that we are proud to offer our customers.
